Aside from a short spell at Sunday School as a child, I had no religious upbringing or teachings whatsoever. Despite a university education, my understanding of the Bible was as Mickey Mouse as it gets. When I became a Christian at the age of 40 my knowledge was limited to and distorted by secular society and gross media representation - particularly Hollywood.
Joining a Bible Study group with other new believers and studying under the Growing Deep and Strong series was a wonderful introduction to Scripture. What was once unintelligible became clear and powerful. The course provided solid theology, foundation and clarity, particularly in regard to issues of spiritual warfare and the Holy Trinity. It acted as a catalyst for my continuing epiphanic journey, that of growing deeper and stronger in Christ every day.

I was born in Laos but my background is from Vietnam. I've been brought up as a Christian going to Church on Sunday only - knowing about God without any personal relationship. When I moved to Melbourne and completed the Growing Deep and Strong course, it taught me a lot about God but most importantly it taught me how to have a personal relationship with him. My husband had no Christian background or any kowledge of God. After he completed the Growing Deep and Strong series, God transformed his life. |

I am so grateful for this course. It has been such a blessing in my life. I found the teaching material easy to understand, while at the same time it challenged and encouraged me to think for myself about how the teaching applied in my own life. The Encounter Weekend was an awesome and enlightening experience. I went into the weekend a little cautious and nervous, but now I am very glad that I went along. I had no idea that I needed deliverance, but God did, and He touched me at the Encounter Weekend in a very personal and powerful way. I know that I will never be the same again because of the Growing Deep and Strong series. My Encounter Weekend experience and the teaching have helped me to become a much happier and stronger Christian. |

In my journey as a Christian, nothing has accelerated my knowledge, faith and love for the Lord more than the Growing Deep and Strong series, which was like stepping on to a 'fast train'. I really liked the relaxed setting, commencing each week with a meal with other new Christians and our coaches which was combined with great teaching and course material. I also found the Personal Discovery and Encounter Weekend to be really valuable. The course fast tracked my growth as a new Christian, connected me with new eternal friends and introduced me into the life of my church. |

From strength to strength, my journey goes on. I began very shallow and weak with no understanding but thanks to the study and revelations of Growing Deep and Strong series, my personal relationship with Jesus and the Power of The Cross, increasingly becomes more intimate. Though at times quite challenging and even suprising, the fruits are so abundantly sweet. Those chains that bound, have melted away - My armour glows deep and strong! Now a coach and on completion of both modules one and two, I encourage all out there, regardless of faith, to experience and grow like never before. Thanks Holy Spirit, Carl and David....I'm looking forward to three and four!! |

"Growing Deep and Strong" - ( a four part series) - written and co-authored by David Searle and Carl Fechner, is an excellent tool for Christian growth. It is easy to read, simple in its approach, calls for one's personal involvement as one discovers Bible answers for themselves and is a good exercise in discipline. It provides the triangle of learning: through the eye-gate (verbal presentation), and the ear-gate (group discussions) and the touch-gate (writing as the answers are discovered). It is the best method of learning. I thoroughly recommend the Growing Deep and Strong series to all believers, younger or older, who - "like a tree planted by the rivers of water" - want to "Grow Deep" and "Grow Strong" in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. |

I certainly recommend this unique series and am impressed with its ability to establish Christians in their faith. The modules have been prepared in a manner that both enlightens the newly converted believer and increases the knowledge of the established Christian. The program not only instructs in Christian living but disciples believers in reaching out to others. The Coaches' Manual with filled-in answers, also questions for review and group discussion, is of inestimable value. |
