Module 4: Discipling Others

Is designed to help disciples develop leadership skills to coach new believers through Module One and Two, and also to lead small groups of Christians effectively as they grow and multiply. There is an emphasis on the practical issues in caring for new believers

  1. BTS Presentation- Internship - A group presentation of Behind The Scenes to follow up new believers resulting from the disciples applying the training of Module Three. They will learn about the importance of enrolling in ©Growing Deep and Strong and understand that this is essential to their spiritual survival.

  2. A New Parent - Teaches that being a spiritual parent is vital to care for and nurture new spiritual babies. New believers need nurture, just as natural babies do. New coaches are encouraged to raise and discuss practical issues in nurturing new believers.

  3. Baby Talk - Coaches are taught to communicate at the new disciples’ pace and learning level. Nurture and care is aimed at encouraging excitement in their new life, which promotes spiritual growth.

  4. Caring for Children - Teaching new disciples to feed themselves can be a messy process. Coaches are encouraged to persist in training and tailor their care to suit their disciples.

  5. Son’s Equipping Gifts, Part 1 - Jesus called all disciples to equip other believers. This session teaches new coaches what the Bible says about the Son’s equipping gifts and to discover how they are relevant in spiritual leadership.

  6. Son’s Equipping Gifts, Part 2 - This session continues what the Bible teaches about the Son’s equipping gifts and to encourage new coaches to apply the gifts they have been given in their spiritual leadership.

  7. Caring for Adolescents - The overall aim of a parent is to prepare their children to be responsibly independent. It is the same in the spiritual sense. Coaches are trained to have foresight and plan to see their new disciples mature toward spiritual adulthood.

  8. Preparing for Encounter One Weekend - Coaches are taught how to encourage their disciples to confidently expect an encounter with God by telling them their experience of Encounter Weekends. Coaches learn how to encourage their disciples to participate and get the maximum benefit from the Encounter Weekend.

  9. Encounter One Weekend - A two-part session, firstly, preparing and training new coaches to minister effectively to new disciples at the Encounter Weekend and, secondly, debriefing over a meal at the conclusion of the Weekend, celebrating what Jesus has done to heal the new disciples set them free from the baggage of the past.
