One of the great things about Christian Bible study is that there is a multiplying effect when we study the Bible together. It is not just an addition, but a multiplication. 
Firstly, having someone as a coach means that there is encouragement to continue with the study, as well as the encouragement to grow. There is nothing like accountability to another person in the proper sense to foster real growth and change in the Christian life. This is what happens when people work through Growing Deep and Strong together in a small group. Coaches grow as they care for new and maturing Christians. We have seen amazing leadership potential unlocked in people who may not otherwise have been looked at as leaders. 
The Christians grow through the motivation from the coaches as well as their peers, and they also learn to care for each other, as they are being cared for. Christians learn the benefit of prayer, and also how to minister to the needs of their fellow Christians. That in turn equips them to reach out effectively with the Gospel to those they know who are not believers and then care for them in the same way. One of the multiplying effects of being together in a small group is what I call the chain of care. New and growing Christians are personally cared for by their coaches. They can ask questions, receive ministry and prayer, and are monitored as to their personal growth and progress. In turn, the coaches can get help from the group leader, and their needs are met as the group leader cares for them. Then the group leader can get in touch directly with us, if they have any issues that they need help with. Getting a small group going should present no major problems. It is beneficial to develop an informal environment, and build group relationships and solidarity by having meals together on meeting occasions where that is possible. Also, encouraging informal contact between group members builds that relationship where Christian growth multiplies.

One does not have to be a teacher to be able to teach the Series. It is all there in the Coach’s Manuals, with easy to follow steps that can be geared to anyone’s pace.
