Your New Life with Jesus Has Begun

You Have Questions. You Don’t Have to Find the Answers Alone.

A powerful encounter with Jesus is the beginning of a completely new life.

You may feel excited, changed and deeply aware that God is real—while still wondering what has happened and what you should do next.

You may be asking:

These are normal and important questions for a new Christian. You are not expected to understand everything immediately—or work it all out alone.

Growing Deep and Strong® gives you a clear weekly Christian discipleship journey, practical help understanding the Bible and a certified coach who will walk alongside you, answer your questions and help you put what you learn into everyday life.

No church background or previous Bible knowledge is required. You can begin exactly where you are.

Let’s begin by looking at what you can learn and experience as you take your first steps with Jesus.

PERSONAL SUPPORT FROM A CERTIFIED COACH

What Your Coach Will Do for You

Your certified coach is there to guide, equip and encourage you—not to expect you to know all the answers.

  • Create a safe place for honest questions.
  • Teach you to navigate and use the New King James Spirit-Filled Life Study Bible, so you can confidently study the Bible for yourself.
  • Listen to what you are discovering and help you connect it with everyday life.
  • Encourage you when the journey feels difficult and help you catch up when needed.
  • Guide group discussions and help you prepare for each included Freedom Event.
  • Treat personal conversations with care and confidentiality, within the programme’s safeguarding boundaries.

A Bible You Will Learn to Use

You Will Be Shown How to Read, Understand and Explore the Bible for Yourself

You will not be handed a Bible and expected to work it out alone. Throughout your journey, your Personal Discovery Manual, the New King James Spirit-Filled Life Study Bible and your certified coach work together.

You will learn how to find the right passages, understand their context and use the Bible’s study tools. The goal is not to make you dependent on your coach. It is to help you become confident in discovering biblical truth for yourself—during the programme and for the rest of your life.

Why We Use This Bible

A Faithful Bible with Guidance Built In

The New King James Version is a clear and trusted translation of the Bible. Its built-in study tools explain the background and meaning of a passage and help you understand how it connects with everyday life.

You are not simply given a Bible and expected to work everything out alone. Your Personal Discovery activities guide you to the right passages, while the Bible’s introductions, explanations and study notes help you understand what you are reading.

  • Understand the big picture before reading each book.
  • See how the Bible’s different parts connect.
  • Recognise how God works through people.
  • Understand and apply what you read.
  • Build confidence to study the Bible for yourself.

Study Tools That Guide Your Discovery

What This Bible Helps You Do

Each feature has a practical purpose: helping you understand Scripture accurately, connect it with everyday life and continue growing beyond the weekly sessions.

  1. Read a Faithful, Clear Translation

The New King James Version gives you a strong foundation of biblical truth in language that is reverent, readable and suitable for learning and memorising.

    • Clear without losing depth
    • Faithful to historic Christian doctrine
    • Strong for lifelong Bible reading
  2. Understand Each Book Before You Begin

Book introductions explain the historical background, author, date, purpose, key themes and outline. They also show Christ revealed, the Holy Spirit at work and how the book applies personally.

  3. Connect God’s Kingdom with Daily Life

Kingdom Dynamics gives short teachings that explain how God’s Kingdom operates, helping you develop a biblical worldview and live out your faith wherever God has placed you.

  4. Put Biblical Truth into Action

Truth in Action helps you move beyond gaining information. It shows practical responses that encourage obedience, personal growth and real change in everyday life.

  5. Discover the Meaning Behind Important Words

Word Wealth explains key biblical words in greater depth, helping you understand what the original language communicates and giving you greater confidence in what you are reading.

  6. See How the Bible Connects Together

Cross-references and verse links guide you to related passages. You begin to see the Bible’s unity, understand passages more accurately and let Scripture help explain Scripture.

  7. Find Help with Difficult Passages

Study notes beneath the biblical text provide historical and theological insight, clarify unfamiliar ideas and help protect you from misunderstanding what a passage means.

See It Working Side by Side

Your Bible and Personal Discovery Manual Work Together

Your manual points you to the relevant Bible pages and asks guided questions. You find the passage, explore the study tools, record what you discover and bring anything you do not understand to your coach.

Page-numbered guidance helps you find the relevant passage and begin discovering the answer for yourself.
You record what you discover, note your questions and then talk them through with your coach.

SEE HOW THE JOURNEY WORKS

See What You Will Work Through

These two pages work together: first, your manual directs you to the exact Bible passage; then guided questions help you record what you discover and prepare what you want to discuss with your coach.

  • Page 105 — Page-Numbered Bible Guidance

Page-numbered Bible references guide you straight to the relevant passage—even if you are opening the Bible for the first time.

  • Page 106 — Guided Personal Discovery Questions

Guided questions help you find the relevant Bible passages, record what you discover and bring your questions to your coach.

Transformational Freedom Events — Included in Your Journey

Encounter God. Find Freedom. Experience Heart Transformation.

Freedom Events—also known as Encounter Weekends—are powerful milestones throughout your Growing Deep and Strong® journey.

After spending time learning who God is and applying biblical truth to your life, you step away from everyday distractions and spend focused time with Him. In a safe and confidential environment, certified coaches and a trained prayer ministry team walk alongside you as you bring past hurts, recurring life patterns, relationships, emotions and personal struggles before God.

What Happens During a Freedom Event?

A Safe Place to Learn, Reflect, Receive Prayer and Respond to God

Freedom Events are carefully guided, confidential weekends where biblical truth is taught and then given time to become personal. You are supported by certified coaches and a trained prayer ministry team throughout the process.

Bible Teaching

Clear, biblically grounded teaching helps you understand how past wounds, choices, beliefs and recurring patterns can affect your present life—and how God’s truth offers a different way forward.

Guided Personal Reflection

You work privately through carefully prepared pages and questions that help you recognise what has shaped you and identify what you are ready to bring before God.

Encouragement and Support

Certified coaches and trained team members walk alongside you with compassion, respect and practical encouragement. You are not expected to navigate the weekend alone.

Prayer and Personal Ministry

When you are ready, the prayer ministry team supports you personally as you respond to God, seek healing, release what has held you and receive prayer for freedom and restoration.

Safe, respectful and confidential: Personal ministry is never about pressure or public disclosure. Each person is treated with dignity, and each person’s experience and outcomes will differ.

  1. Learn the truth
  2. Reflect personally
  3. Respond to God
  4. Receive prayer and support

Recognising Generational Influences

A structured chart helps participants prayerfully consider patterns that may have affected their family history and present life.

This is where Bible teaching moves beyond information and becomes a personal response to God.

A Milestone Worth Celebrating

Celebrate the Journey. Honour the Transformation.

Completing your Growing Deep and Strong® journey is about far more than reaching the end of a programme. It marks a journey of commitment, personal discovery, healing, freedom and genuine heart transformation.

At the conclusion of your final Freedom Event, those who have completed their Growing Deep and Strong® journey are formally recognised and presented with a Growing Deep and Strong® Certificate of Completion.

This is a special opportunity for certified coaches, the prayer team and fellow participants to honour your commitment, celebrate the victories God has brought into your life and encourage you as you step into the next season of your journey.

Celebrating the Victories Together

Many groups also choose to conclude the final Freedom Event with an optional celebration dinner. It is a joyful time to gather around the table, share stories, strengthen friendships, give thanks to God and celebrate the personal victories experienced throughout the journey.

The dinner is optional and depends on arrangements made by each Training Centre. Personal meals, accommodation and travel are arranged and paid for separately.

“This is not simply the completion of a course. It is the celebration of a transformed life and a strong foundation for everything God has ahead.”

Faith for Everyday Life

Your Changed Life Can Make a Difference

As your faith becomes clearer and more settled, you can bring truth, character, wisdom and love into your relationships, work, family, church and community.

The first 20 weeks establish strong foundations. The complete 40-week journey helps you explore identity, purpose and servant leadership.

Your Sphere of Influence

Where Could You Make a Difference?

Every Christian has a different story and place of influence. You can learn to serve people faithfully without needing to leave your current work, family or community.

Growing Deep and Strong® sometimes describes this as becoming a “societal reformer”: a Christian whose changed life brings positive change to people and everyday places.

  • Where has God already placed me?
  • Who can I strengthen through truth, character and love?
  • What experience may have prepared me to serve?
